Jim Cissell has received a number of awards for his public service and since debuting the Clerk of Courts website
in January 1999, the site has received national acclaim for its innovations in court-related technology.
Public Administrator of the Year
Hamilton County Probate Court IT Director Christian Moeller received the ASPA Public Administrator of the Year
Innovator Award in 2006 for his part in the creation and development of the PCCMS case management
computer system. The new system is expected to save Hamilton County taxpayers $455,000 over the next five years.
Best of the Web 2002
The website of the Hamilton County Clerk of Courts
has received Honorable Mention in the Local Government category of the
Center for Digital Government's
"Best of the Web 2002" contest.
#1 Court Website in the Country
Justice Served, an alliance of court management and justice experts providing
consultation and training to courts with particular emphasis
on aiding courts in the migration to court services on the World Wide Web, rated the Hamilton County Clerk of Courts website the top Court Website
in the country. Stating that the web site, "exemplifies the web makers art," it garnered the top award because of the variety of services and information
that it provides.
The Clerk of Courts earned a nomination and was a finalist in the "Government & Non-Profit
Organizations" category
for the prestigious Smithsonian Computerworld Awards -the Oscar for technology- out of nearly five hundred nominated from over twenty-three countries.
The award honors corporations and public agencies for high-tech innovations. The Clerk of Courts was selected
for its development of the computerized court management system
that gives access to case information to the Clerk's office, courtrooms and county agencies that need the information. The other finalists were The Federal Reserve Board, GTE,
the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation and Lucent Technologies.

presented Jim Cissell with an award of appreciation for his, "exceptional dedication and service toward achieving the mission of
Mothers Against Drunk Driving," at their 15th Anniversary celebration in 1997.

Postal Service Award
Rico Booker, Mail Center Supervisor
for the Clerk of Courts and Jim Cissell, Clerk of Courts admire the Industrial Technology Award
which Mr. Booker received in May, 2000 from the U.S. Postal Service. The statement from the
the Postal Service said that the "implementation of the 'Fast Forward' system in his centralized
mail processing
facility has realized significant savings for the County by ... reducing the administrative
and postage costs of sending second notices."
